Influenster VoxBox!

I received my J’Adore VoxBox last week!

It had some pretty awesome goodies in it.

Pretty pink box!

My Adeline and I loved the pink box. It was super fun to find waiting for me when I got home from workAll the Goodies! A whole bag of Hershey’s Kisses (which my kids immediately confiscated), Vaseline spray lotion for men, Boots Botanics face mask, Frizz Ease serum, KISS lashes, and Red Rose teas.

So far, we are sharing the Kisses, and we have tried the tea. The flavors are very mild, and the black tea is really good.

I’ve not had a chance to try the lashes or the mask yet, but am planning to this week!

The Vaseline spray lotion for men was VERY manly smelling. Super strong, which was a surprise to me. My husband won’t wear it due to the strong smell. 😦 The spray is nice, and I may try some for the gym after I shower for the fast factor.

Sew Sew Modern 4 Swap Complete!

This was a super fun swap. It’s run out of Flickr, using the groups feature.

I received an awesome package from my friend Linda in the Netherlands!! As you can see, she included a few things for my kids and my husband as well.

She was so generous!! As soon as my sewing room is painted and I have a spot, I will be hanging this gorgeous mini up in there for sure!

For my part, I made a SuperTote by Noodlehead. I have made this bag multiple times and I love it each time!! I included some goodies in her package, but forgot to take a pic of the whole thing. It was also my first time making a English Paper Pieced hexie flower, and appliqueing! I thought it turned out very well. I used Carolyn Friedlander’s Botanics and some Lizzy House mice, and Essex yarn dyed in Steel. They all looked great together, I thought!

Influenster VoxBox is Headed my Way!

A few months ago, I was invited to join Influenster by Lora at Crazy Runner Girl. She has an awesome running blog. Just awesome. Really good stuff there, go check it out.

It is a pretty cool place! I get to talk about the products I love (mostly running, I don’t think they have a “crafty goddess” badge, but maybe I should suggest it) and some Mom/family/kid things as well.

You can answer people’s questions about products, and read reviews of your own.

They have a program call the VoxBox. They will send you a box when you have participated enough in the community. It contains cool stuff to review! I have been doing reviews and talking about things to try to get into this program.

Last week, I got an email telling me. . . . . . . . .

VoxBoxI was IN for the J’Adore VoxBox!

Super excited to get it and try the things inside and tell you all about them!

Great week!

This has really been a great week.

Got two really good runs in on the treadmill, one with intervals, did my strength training, and have had a tiny bit of time to sew!

It’s been snowing all week. Wednesdays’ workout was “Shovel snow for 2.5 hours”. Yesterday, I had to laugh because it was my rest/off day and I managed to do 26 flights of stairs according to my FitBit. I think that today is going to be a rest day too. I’ve been fighting a bit of a cold, and I’m hoping that giving my body a break will help it out.

I have give up soda/pop/Coke. I’m surprised how much I have not missed it. I am also surprised at how much my sugar cravings have decreased. And I picked up a LifeWater, and it was so artificially sweet I could hardly stand it. That was an unexpected bonus. I have started drinking tea, but not a ton.

What does everyone have planned for the weekend? I will be hosting an essential oil class for some friends, and hanging out with the family Sunday.

Saturday Run =PR!

Saturday I ran 3.2 miles.

I walked outside, and it was SO nice out.. 41 degrees.. (mind you. . relative to the fact it’s been in the single digits for too long). I was like “OH IT IS ON!” and took off at bascially a full sprint.

I told myself I was going to run my best mile, and then run my best 5k. The first mile I ran in 8:47. The last two were 9:53 and 9:19. The last 0.2 mi I basically did just to make sure that I hit the 5k mark! I felt SO good about the run. I think by pushing myself on the treadmill, it is making a difference. Or maybe it’s the 2-3 days of strength training every week. Totally loving my Garmin 220 Post Run Saturday.

After that was the Indiana Brewer’s Guild Winterfest, where a good time was had by all.

Sunday was the Super Bowl, and I did a little English Paper Piecing for my SSM4 swap partner! Now to sew the hexies together.

EPPing Hexie FlowerYesterday, 2.5 on the treadmill and Lunch Crunch abs class, today was Thighs Butts and Guts (lower body and core) class. Since we are forecasted to get 8-10 inches of snow tomorrow, looks like I will be inside and making due with some planks and body weight excersizes.
